BNUBS Held a Seminar on Ideological and Political Construction

The report of the Party's 20th National Congress pointed out that education is a major plan for the country and the party. And the fundamental problems of education are who to train, how to train, and whom they are for. The key of educating people lies in virtue. Promoting curriculum ideological and political construction in an all-round way is a strategic measure to carry out the fundamental task of cultivating talents, and also it is an important task to improve the quality of personnel training. On the afternoon of July 3, 2023, BNUBS held a seminar on ideological and political construction of the course in the 9406 conference room and Tencent Conference in JINGSHI HOTEL. The meeting was chaired by Jiang Jie, Associate Secretary of the Party Committee of the School. More than 30 teachers participated online or offline.



The speaker of this lecture was Professor Zhao Chunming. Mr. Zhao was awarded the title of National "Ten thousand Thousand Plan" famous teacher, National Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Grand Prize, Ministry of Education Curriculum Ideological and Political Teaching famous teacher, Beijing Excellent Teacher, Beijing Excellent Postgraduate Instructor, Beijing Pioneer of teachers' ethics, etc. Many of his courses have been rated as national online first-class courses, national offline first-class courses, and Ministry of Education curriculum Ideological and political demonstration courses. Mr. Zhao has made fruitful achievements in the theoretical research and teaching practice of curriculum ideology and politics, and has been invited by the Ministry of Education and universities to introduce the typical practices and experiences of curriculum ideology and politics construction.

First, Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, spoke. He pointed out that in recent years, colleges and universities attach great importance to curriculum ideological and political construction. Strengthening curriculum ideological and political construction was a concrete measure to carry out the Xi Jinping Thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and carry out the fundamental task of cultivating morality and cultivating people, which was of great significance to train socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, the beauty and labor. He fully affirmed the specific measures and achievements of the School in the construction of curriculum ideology and politics, and hoped that all teachers could actively invest in the construction of curriculum ideology and politics, and strengthen the thinking and practice of curriculum ideology and politics.



Then, Mr. Zhao shared the experience and understanding of curriculum ideological and political construction. He first elaborated the main principles of curriculum thinking and politics. The first was to pay attention to the condensing and organic integration of ideological and political elements in the curriculum. He emphasized that finding a meeting point should rely on the dual goals of knowledge imparting and value leading, and seek the best angle to achieve the dual goals at the same time. Curriculum thinking and politics should not be far-fetched, but should be organically integrated. The second was to focus on multi-channel exploration of curriculum ideological and political elements resources. It was necessary to explore the philosophical thought elements from the teaching system, explore the ideological and political elements from the chapter knowledge points of the course, find the ideological and political elements from the current hot and difficult issues, choose the ideological and political content from the relevant teaching auxiliary materials, find the ideological and political points from some "negative materials", and find the ideological and political elements from the school history and characters. The third was to carry out curriculum ideological and political design according to the types and characteristics of majors and courses. It was necessary to help students correctly understand the world and China through professional knowledge, improve political literacy, cultivate students' correct world outlook, outlook on life and values, and enhance students' sense of The Times and responsibility.



Teacher Zhao used rich teaching cases and video materials to vividly explain the practical experience of curriculum ideological and political construction. First, we should pay attention to the combination of curriculum teaching and subject background to build a solid foundation for carrying out curriculum ideological and political education. The second is to establish the teaching concept of advancing with The Times, highlight the contemporary and advanced nature of the ideological and political content of the curriculum, and enhance the timeliness of the Party and the country's major strategies and major policies into the classroom and into the mind. The third is to establish the teaching concept of combining online and offline, create a "concentric circle" of education, and achieve the resonance effect of all-round curriculum thinking and politics. The fourth is to establish the teaching concept of wetting things silently, pay attention to teaching and educating people, and strengthen the moral effect of curriculum thinking and politics. The fifth is to establish the teaching concept of process evaluation, pay attention to integrate ideological and political elements from every link, so as to achieve the "closed loop" effect of curriculum ideological and political education.

Teacher Zhao finally shared his experience of participating in the ideological and political construction of the curriculum.

Finally, the participating teachers had a full discussion on the issues of curriculum ideological and political team construction, ideological and political curriculum and collaborative development of curriculum ideology and politics, and enhancing students' political identity through curriculum ideology and politics.
